    The timber is a narrow leaf red ironbark which is part of the eucalyptus family.
    I used sanding sealer to seal it. Once I got the shape right its a process of sand, sanding sealer, dry, repeat.
    Its a bit of extra work but it gives a lovely natural finish which is also sealed.

    Tamper Stand

    So after getting my Pullman Barista I felt I needed to have somewhere to put it when not in use.
    I had seen a couple of tamper stands but I wanted something that did the Barista justice not just a block of wood
    that I put the tamper on. Living on a property with plenty of trees wood was the obvious medium. What  I created is a
    homage to the Pullman. The curves mirror the way the Baristas handle flows into the tamper base and the straight edges
    represent the clean edge and individual accuracy of the tamper base.
