AASCA QLD Barista Championship 2008

Hey,

I went to the QLD Barista Championship to have a look and took some photos. I was there only for the first half and had to go so I didnt get any photos after the lunch break. It was very exciting as it was my first time to watch.

Winner was Tim from the sunshine coast. He had the green cups in the last few pics from coffeekid.

The results for the weekend:

Winner - Tim Adams - Sunshine Coast Coffee Academy

Runner Up - Scott Luengen - First Pour Brisbane

Third Spot - Jennifer Goodall - Zarraffas Burleigh Heads.

Thanks again to all the barista and volunteers, judges. We have over 700+ photos to sort through and will have the up.

I was just emailed...

The Latte Art and Cup- Tasting competitions were not run for QLD due low numbers, the entrants will be entered to the repechage event at the Nationals held on the 31st of January 2009

So CK can still enter!

Yes I would love to compete in the Latte art comp but I dont have any training... Probably have a go end of next year when I can find somewhere to train.

Also support the proposition put forward by everyone else above mate.... You should enter the Comp and give them all a good shake-up. Cant hurt and youll learn a hell of a lot in the process. Were all behind you CK... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
