  • Volume of 60-70kg coffee bag?

    Hi all,

Weve been making enquiries about buying whole bags of coffee. Not sure if its going to work out to be viable for us or not at this stage... and not sure if we can risk buying a bag of coffee that Andy hasnt pre-tested for us!

Anyway, for getting a freight quote, we need to know the volume of a bag of coffee. Can anyone help me out? I suppose what wed need is the measurements of the box one would pack a bag into. Estimates for 30kg and 60-70kg bags would be valuable if anyone has them.

    Cheers
    Stuart.

    Hi Stuart...

Hope this helps...... a 60kg bag dimension is approx as follows when it is full...

1metre high....... 50cm deep.........70cm wide...... i would not reccomend putting a 60kg or 70kg bag into a box...... the bag is easier to freight on its own...

(please note that 70kg bag is not much different to 60kg bag)

    As for a 30kg bag.... approx....... 60cm high........30cm deep.....40cm wide...

    hope this helps....

So a 60kg bag of coffee cubes up to around 87.5kg for freight purposes.......

        interesting

        Chris

....using the fairly standard 250kg cubic conversion
