4 sure, i have not screwed mine to the wall. the kit i got had all the generic fittings for plumbing and even teflon tape. i would just suggest turning off the water.

you will have to make up some sort of mount though for the tap fitting..... other wise hole will be seen when taken out.
    thanks Azz

How removable are these installations? Are they something one can put in by oneself, and remove leaving property managers none-the-wiser?

Ended up getting a undersink 2tank filter with a 5micron carbon cartrage filter and then in the 2nd is a .5micron filter that gets that nasty scale out. hope miss silvia likes it

What is best for your machine depends on your water supply. You need to talk to someone who knows.

A 20 micron filter of spun material will take out large particles only. A 20 micron carbon filter will also clean the water of chlorine. Neither will deal with the dissolved mineral content of hard water, which will form scale in the machine.

20 microns is a pretty basic filter. The carbon block I run my rainwater/tapwater mix through is .5 micron!

its a white spun type filter with quarter inch piping witha single filter unit. the filter size is about 25cm by 6cm.

i do not understand how a 20micron filter differs from a diffrent 20micron filter? i thought they just filter things out of the water that is 20microns or more?

thanks for the help, i was just seeing if it was in the ballpark for what people use?

i would have contacted Bombora but i suspect they would try and tell me that it would not be enough to sell stuff.
i was just asking to see what others use as far as micron levels that they filter to
Why assume and do your self and Bombora a disfavor..

The worse they will say is NO.

However, while I work with lots of filtration systems in hospitals... A simple statement of 20 Micron tells me NOTHING!!!  :-?  :-?

It like saying; my car runs on petrol, can it get me to Darwin ?  :

How is teh system configured, what size piping, what sort of piping, what is the filter size (physical), how old is it, what brand is it, what sort of 20 micron ? etc etc etc etc..

Sorry to sound a bit harsh, but the only time I have ESP is after a week fishing.. As to others... I am not aware of any others that might have ESP

With out the right information NO one can provide you the advice your looking for.  Many might even say.. Too much hard work and with information withheld or not provided not worth the risk.  Go and spend $$ and get a new system.

I am saying, that with a little effort and time... You could have a Top water system for min $$$$.  But you have to partake and provide information.

i have found that my family has saved a filter unit from our old house.

its a under bench one with a 20micron filter cartrage.

does anyone know if this is enough or should i find a better one?
    Contact Bombora .

You will need to provide more information as to size and style etc and while ONE unit is not ideal it is better than nothing. Depending on your water, a softener may be all you require. Other than that, with the right info, Bombora may be able to supply the extra bits to allow you to have a 2 stage system..

Thats what the sponsors are there for

Its a brave person that drinks the town tap water here as we have yucky tasting and heavily mineralised water. I use a Sunbeam electric water filter both at home and at work, I change the filters every 4-6 months or more often if required. This system works well for me as it removes the dreadful taste and reduces the minerals. I have a little chuckle to myself when the Shire Manager and other Shire officials also drink filtered water, yet tell us that our water is OK. How do I know this? I own a childcare centre and I care for their children, we have a water filter at work and the parents request filtered water for their children.
    cheers
    Julie
