Looks like 656 and 58 have brokered a peace deal, with each of them settling on one batch of ES1 ... but now 891 is trying to buy 58s bag! $69.50 ...

Meanwhile, some people have twigged and lots 3 and 4 are edging up a few bucks ...

Lot 3 is now edging out the rest, other than lot 1. Surprised lot 4 isnt doing better, but it might pick up ...

By my reckoning, bidder 765 is currently sitting on something like $90k (USD) in various lots ...

Bidder 656 takes it over 90 ... so much for "seeming to back off at $40"

Interesting that the market clearly values lot 3 and 4 as the best; accords with what we thought of the samples at the cupping at BBB.

Yes, Id quite like the auction to end.

Do you know how new region1 is as a producing area?

There are 7 distinct batches. Every lot within a given batch is EXACTLY the same. The chart below shows alternating rows shaded to visually group the lots within each batch. For example batch ES4 contains lots ES4-01 through ES4-08 theoretically allowing up to 8 different bidders to acquire coffee from Batch 4.

Reserva de la Señora  Cupping Notes:  A balanced and sweet cup, notes of jasmine, mandarin oranges, chocolate, blackberry jam and rose tea. This is one of our newest producing areas, in the Cañas Verdes region, adjacent to the Baru Volcano National Park. This is our highest grown Esmeralda Special in production.
