Thanks to everyone who showed up to Melbourne Café day this afternoon. I really enjoyed myself and learned a LOT. Ive gone from undrinkable abominations to quite passable lattés in a mere afternoon!!!..
Just made a couple of lattés a few minutes ago, and while Im stuck with the crappy built in tamper on the Nemox until my Pullman arrives I managed to pull some quite drinkable shots and topped them with some sweet, glossy microfoam the likes of which this household has not seen before!!
Thanks to Chris and Luca in particular for taking some time to "show me the ropes" a little.
I shall cast of the title of coffee-loser and don the cap of apprentice coffeesnob once more!
To anyone out there who is having troubles with their machine, I highly recommend it .. Youd be surprised how a few simple pointers can drastically improve things.
Next stop, the espresso course
