  • Best Beans

    Hi Guys,

Being someone who is not up for roasting their own, what sources of whole roasted beans and what particular types/blends of beans would you recommend for someone who drinks primarily lattés and cappas?

Im happy to buy beans once a week at most for freshness, but any more frequently than that is too much of a burden.

I have a good quality airtight container to store the beans in.

    Located inner city melb...

Im new to the subtle nuances of different types of coffee, so any pointers, tips, etc. are welcomed ....

All I know is that Ive been told not to touch the vac-packed beans in Supermarkets

Lachlan- have a look at some of the artisan roasters- like St Ali or Atomica

Cottles near south MLB markets and Alan Frew not far from the Shell garage off the West Gate as you come into the city from Westy land. ;D

        - St Ali (12 Yarra Place, Sth Melbourne)
        - Coffee Supreme (23 Balmain Street, Richmond)
        - Atomica Caffe (268 Brunswick St, Fitzroy)

I havent had the chance to buy from the following roasters, but have heard positive things about them...
        - 5 Senses Coffee (Mornington)
        - Veneziano (22 Bond Street, Abbotsford)
