NSW cupping heats Oct 09

Is anyone else going to be at the cupping heats this weekend?

Ill be there to compete in my first cupping.

It would be great to hook up with other csers on the day.

Hi Cameron, as mentioned over in the AASCA comps thread, this weekends event is the next planned meet for Sydney/NSW CS members -

both myself and coffeehorse will be there for certain - were both doing the judges training & calibration tomorrow although Im still not certain if Ill actually do that on the day.

I also think that Michelle and Yeeza will be there. Im hoping that CSrs that have been to more previous meets like bjeck14, maheel, speleomike, Thundergod, Viviane (bit of a trek tho!), flynn_aus, fringedweller, garfieldSYD (sorry if i forgot anyone!) and some who havent made it yet due to other commitments will be there too.

either way there will be a few members on hand. we need a secret handshake or something ...

Although not being able to make it due to work commitments, I think the handshake should mimic the standard dosing action.

Bjeck is that the head down speed dose of a pro, or the slow underdosed bad coffee dose of the corner fish and chip shop?

I hope to make it but man to get there i need to take a packed lunch its nearly in QLD....lol

A bit of time to get to the M2 and then race down that and you are there. Shouldnt really take you that long.

Cant make it unfortunately as I am working. A shame as it is <10 mins from our gaffe.

I always favoured the raised forearm salute with fist at shoulder height, to display the group head burns.

Yeah Ill be there. A lot more judges this year than last, so Im planning on not judging too many competitors as I think Im doing a lot of other running around on the day (which should be fun). I was gonna compete in the cupping too, but Im trying to save my bikkies atm. My do the open cupping if Im not pouring the cups :P

Gonna be a great day. Got the girls on the bbq spinning sausages, which should be delish.

Looking at the ustream it was a great event!!!
Got to make sure I dont miss next year
