^ Another nail in the coffin, AM!!! ;D

I rinse mine out after every use through the basket unless Im making multiple shots in a row. I rinse mine under the tap after Ive knocked it out then let it sit on the sink edge while I rinse the milk jug, teaspoons, etc and then lock it back it once all the water has drained out.

Everyone night, Ill pop out the basket and give both the basket and GH a quick going over with a bottle brush (leftovers from toddlerdom) and then, soak both in a sink with Clean Machine that I put all my s/steel in when I chemically clean my machine and give it a wash and polish.

    Cheers
    Di

If I am making multiple coffees then I usually give shower screen a brief flush immediately after removing the pf, but will only wipe the pf out before reloading and  pulling the next shot/s.  As soon as I know there will be a break before the next shots I will flush the filter basket, and shower-screen and do brief water back-flush.

If I am only using machine once then everything gets flushed immediately after.

As TG mentioned, the staining on the bottom of the filter basket is a good reason to flush everything as soon as reasonably possible.
As per above... I guess it depends on the number of coffies being made and what I am intending to do..

I rinse after every shot because i only ever make one shot, for myself as the wife doesnt drink coffee often. I also soak in cleaning solution every couple months.

rinse mine after each use. back flush after i know i wont be making coffees for the rest of the day.

was lazy once and forgot to wash my drip tray. you could see a layer of brown covered over the stainless steel tray and this was just overnight.

Found the same thing with my GPP. I still rinse after every set, but I just put a shallow plastic container on the tray to catch the water from the rinse. Much easier to dump out.

Thats what I do. My Silvia has a thimble for a drip tray, so I use a plastic container when flushing and rinsing.

same here, i used to rinse from the brew head between every set, but it was filling my drip tray too fast! now just remove PF, bang, flush (to get coffee off screen(for about 1-2 secs), wipe, and repeat

Thanks guys, that pretty much follows what I do. I thought it would a good topic to get opinions on though.

I rinse the PF & filter after every shot because its home and I am pedantic

The group head is spotlessly cleaned at the end of the session

I rinse mine after every session.
Using a naked gh shows the coffee stains on the underside of the basket.

Do you really want that sitting there until the next time you make a coffee?
