Was in Single Origin the other morning enjoying a delicious short black when a bloke walks in orders his coffee and gives the barista a carton of soy milk and asks him to use it in his flat white, funniest thing Id seen in a while, bringing your own favorite brand of soy to use in your bought coffee.

Re: Bring your own soy
When I was stuck on soy (back to real milk now), I used to supply my daily cafe with Bonsoy to use in my coffees. They werent interested in stocking it when I spoke to them about it (cost) but did offer to keep one in the fridge for me if I supplied it...so I supplied it.
It was a great gesture on the cafes part and I was very thankful. I told them if anyone specifically asks about Bonsoy - to serve them some of mine.
It seems like heaps of my local cafes are now stocking Bonsoy and prominently displaying it too. Finally, theyre working out that good soy is a must if it is to go in espresso...and draws in all the soy coffee drinkers in town.

Re: Bring your own soy
Same, on any given day we might have goats milk, rice milk, or non-standard soy milk in our fridges depending on which regulars we have come in. Like Pavoniboy said, its a great gesture, and it really doesnt cost the business anything other than a very small slot in the fridge.
Though if I never smell goats milk being heated ever again itll be too soon [smiley=rolleyes.gif]
