Ok, I gotta send a plug out to Roger from Supreme Roasters at Yatala in Queensland.
A little while back I was chasing some guidance on a supplier on the Gold Coast; in the end I finished up getting a machine sight unseen because I couldnt get to see one on the bench in the neighborhood.
Anyway, I saw a couple of Rogers posts on his sponsors page and I thought Id pop in to try the beans. Little did I know that he had a fairly decent setup in his shop with a GPP, Domus and Expobar on the bench for side by side comparisons (FWIW, I was tossing up between the GPP and Domus when I was choosing).
He was quick to offer me a try on the machines on the bench to see what I was (or was not) missing out on. He made me a couple of coffees and when I commented on my somewhat lacking milk frothing skills offered to spend some time with me to work on my technique next time Im in (Ill supply the milk).
He then threw some free beans my way for good measure (which were/are very good by the way).
I dont have much other experience with any other site sponsors aside from a couple of phone calls but Roger was a real gentleman and if the other sponsors on here are half as nice, then users of the forum cant go too wrong.
If someone on the Gold Coast is looking for a new machine or some beans, its definitely worth dropping in to see Supreme Roasters.
