Im giving a demo of my home roasting setup at the Canberra Linux Users Group tomorrow night (Thursday the 25th).
The demo is mostly aimed at Linux geeks, but if any other CSers want to turn up to help try and get more people into home roasting then please do! I think Linux geeks are just the sort of people likely to get
into home roasting.
See http://clug.org.au/ for a map and meeting details.
The setup I will be demonstrating is a HG+BM roaster, with automatic power control using a little device that controls the power to the heat gun, controlled from a python script running on a Linux box.
The python code is here:
http://samba.org/tridge/pyRoast/
If you look at the UI youll see its heavily influenced by the CS RoastMonitor software. It is less stable than RoastMonitor though, probably because this is my first attempt at python GUI programming.
Cheers, Tridge
