Re: Coffee trainer issues
Hi Angermanagement
I think I know where you are coming from here. The coffee training role is a very important one in our business - they arent the puppet for what our Management team thinks coffee should taste/look like (god help us if that was the case). The coffee trainer works with various people across the organisation, to set the standards, to advise, and provide training solutions and interventions. This also extends to what blends and equipment we use. Its then their job to plan and drive the implementation of the initiative.
Now, I must get back to my morning double ristretto...

cheers,
John.

;D
The issue as I see it... Not only Airports.. Is that like Quality - Management and I mean Senior Management, do not choose to own it.. They tick a box and employ some one.. However one skilled person or trainer means NOTHING... The Quality of teh product belongs to every staff member, and if they are not on-board.. Or as so often the case; If management do not walk walk walk.... Then it is a climb that not many can make.Originally posted by 79405E506A72350 link=1257569369/8#8 date=1259585901Hi Katef,
Would it be a wholistic approach to group based training or would it be more intimate 1 on 1 training?
Do you require certification of the training or just attendance style tickets?
I have to admit...after buying a coffee from the Sydney airport on Friday morning... i think your staff may need some help?
Staff are often provided basic training and then a senior staff member will define how and when they change the grind settings or that the Bean hoppers have to be filled up at close out time.. I could go on... But..... Consultancy fees are often paid.. A report provided and management tick the box and continue to do teh same...
TG has a passion and a Quality Background... If ya serious... You target people such as he and then you also need to, provide them with the Authority to not only recommend but also drive implementation.. Thus, back them when it comes to Board meeting time..
Just my two cents worth..Tags: None
