  • 2010 AASCA National Championships - Jan 29-31

I just had a look at the Gold Coast Food and Wine website to see what they had up on there for the 2010 AASCA comps. Apart from an annoying flash site that you cannot link directly to I did find a schedule (which is good) and a promo pic (which was bad)
    http://www.goldcoastfoodandwineshow.com.au

I assume ALL competitors will be able to pour better than promo picture. (after shaking my head a few times, I did laugh though)

So cmon, hands-up which of you canetoads poured this one?

Yeah my lovely co-worker booked a room with through AASCA. I dont think there are any rooms left though. you could email Chaline @ nationals10@aasca.com to see if there are any free. Were already squeezing 3 peeps into a room.

Oh and if anyone wants to gimme a hand setting up for the cupping comp (who has done it before) let me know. Oh and if anyone wants to help me stage manage, and take that off my hands let me know :S

                    Peace, Dan

Ill be there as a spectator only - Ill probably go on the Sunday for the finals, but open to suggestions if any other spectator snobbers are going along for a look.

                        Cheers
                        Di

PS - is there anywhere where I can register as a spectator before the event, does anyone know, or do you just turn up on the day and buy an entry on the spot?

SOme great baristas in the open lineup - this would be a great series of events to watch as a lead up to the pre-qualified event.

Best of luck to all the competitors - I hope the Qld weather is kind (just as well this event is not in Perth this year as we are having a scorcher this week!)
