Exposed 240V, No exclusion zone or WARNINGS signs / notices, other staff just wander in and no one I could see identified as a First Aid Observer..

Workshop or not... How to give teh local Electrical Authority hard evidence and  win any court case hands down as to dangerous working conditions (WHS people would also be shocked).  Any where in Australia.....

Go here for some light reading if in WA.  http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/EnergySafety/

And to see if the company or person is a holder...

    https://bizline.docep.wa.gov.au/energysafety/public_info.cfm#cont

Other than that... Not a bad vid...

PS... Sponsors and others involved with Electrical and Electronics across Australia... Need to be aware that More and more governments are making it easer to check if you compliant with the acts... WA / QLD and others have open data bases...

Further more; Australia is moving to a NATIONAL system and WA and QLD are leading the way and are / may be a bit more anal.. Before 2011 / 2012 you had better get ya act together...

While were being fussy perhaps we should point out that two people or some lifting implement should be used to move the machine as it is over 15kg........... Im sure the list goes on.

I might be missing something here:
[*]Presently an electrical nightmare as AM has correctly stated[*]Supply your own Mondiale at $3k[*]Offers everything that an Izzo does (- tank + synesso group) and all for close on 2 x the price of the Izzo..

Alternately, is it just that the price of a 1 gp Synesso is outrageous at $12+k :-?

I understand where you are coming from but lets just say that I miss the world where common sense prevails and well...... survival of the fittest!!!!
Im pretty sure that EVERY coffee machine that we all own started life this way.

It looked as though most people there were technicians and knew the dangers. You want dangerous think about the little old lad cutting here hedges with and electric hedge cutters when she cuts through the lead. Pretty sure she didnt break any of the Regs unless of course she is required to have her leads safety tagged every year and she failed to do so.

Safety regulations are getting so precious that my fear is that if and when there is something dangerous people will fail to see the danger. U dont see kids climbing and falling out of trees anymore and we protect our kids so much that they dont get the exposure some would argue that they need.

            Just one persons opinion.

I guess we could argue all day about the value of a synesso machine but to some people they are the holy grail of espresso machines.

                I tend to agree...

However, that is teh way it is to day and when some one publicly displays their breach on the WEB... It is a concern.

OH, by the way... I have also practised brain surgery / done a bit of mid wife stuff / can put in stitches and pull teeth with a pair of fencing pliers and set the odd break..

Guess a bit of experience means I dont need to meet any legislation...

So will you be one of my first patients ? PS. the brain surgery was successful, but he did not survive.

Bugger it; Lets just remove all protection / speed limits etc etc...

Sorry; Even the Great Genghis Khan had laws and rules.. And if ya broke them you often paid a high price its like life.. Laws and Taxes, so we have to move on or opt out..

Hey I guess I dont give a !@#$ when it is my own safety involved but if it was my family or an employee in danger I would go to the nth degree to ensure their safety.  Hey Im an accountant and well......you know what we are like.  Prefer to play things safe so Im all for following regulations.

PS Would you like to be my mid wife. Theres a high chance I will be needing one ;D

Yep and when ya buy a coffee machine etc Who uses it and or touches it.. Or if you advise of a unit to some one (Excluding the MIL).

                    Thus the rules do count...

                    No easy, I agree...
