    Re: Stuck puck

I suppose that if you under-dose the top of the puck could become wet & sticky (glue like)

When it expands it gets stuck in the screen
also it may not have enough weight to release that grip the screen has on the puck

    Hi therepcapsican,

I use to have the same problem. AM is right here. Its due to there not being enough coffee in the group handle which results in the puck not expanding as much and hence sticks to the screen.

I overcame the problem by adding a bit more coffee so you can only see half of the sunbeam tamper stainless steel part.

So try updosing and let us know how you go. :P
Here is the definitive answer..   peteru posed the question in 2008... A number of us came up with interesting posts  ;D   peteru found the answer and posted it..  I had to try it caus I am anal on some things...   peteru was 100%   [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]

Dont really know and I dont have an em6910...

but are you overdosing? (Do the 5 cent piece test - search for the test on here if you dont know what that is.)
Agree... The 5 cent test is an ideal starting point.

I also thought the same as KK, but a few other EM6910 members demonstrated otherwise... Yep, I got it wrong...

If ya got a good grind and firm tamp etc and you under dose... Yep underdose.... The puck can lift out of the basket and stick to the screen...

Sound a bit funny... But with a bit of practice.. I could recreate it on demand..

Not sure if TG also found the same.. Will see if I can find the post.. Some time ago... 12 or 18 months...

Hang in there.. The EM6910 will do you well if ya treat it right...

Hi all, i need a little info, im having a problem with my pucks sticking to the shower screen on my em6910, every shot i pull i have to scrape the puck off the screen and the group handle is empty.???? any ideas
    Thanks Josh
    Use less grounds
If you are overdosing you are literally pushing the puck into the screen

Others may have other advice as there may be other issues
