and thats why I have scales, Clever dripper & Skerton at work so I dont have to drink the dreck on offer. Pourover, or even cold process coffee taken to the office are great options to help you avoid that stuff!
How easy are the nitrogen bombs to purchase. I was looking at that and was concerned about locating a place to buy them. Are they only sold in catering cookware stores?

Yes, you can buy them from catering suppliers. We (Cuppacoffee) also keep stocks and a pack of 10 will set you back $8.00. Once our website is updated youd also be able to purchase online.
Woolies and Coles used to sell them, but unfortunately too many people were buying and using them for medicinal effects, so they took them off the shelves - at least, that was what I was told.

Thankfully ive got access to some wonderful cafes near work but my better half doesnt have that luxury so each morning i make her a big latte, put it in a good quality takeaway cup and away she goes.
Doesnt help in the middle of the day but it certainly beats having rubbish instant in the morning.

Another option
Do you like or have tried Greek/Turkish coffee
All you need is small briki/ibrik for under $10
Ground coffee to talcum powder consistency and a heat source
I grew up with this style of coffee and still enjoy it on a regular basis
Be careful what you wish for. Some coffee-lovers where I work managed to convince the higher-ups that a coffee machine was entirely necessary for the office. Management very generously provided a $2500, fully-automatic espresso machine. It ground the beans coarsely, even at the finest setting, packed the grounds into a tiny basket and squirted a bit of hot water through them. For milk drinks it would automatically blow big soap-bubbles in the milk for you, leaving it lukewarm, then squirting it on top of the watery espresso it had just made.
Needless to say, the coffee-lovers werent very happy and continued to buy coffee elsewhere, management wasnt very happy because their investment wasnt being used by the very people they bought it for, and the machine wasnt very happy, because it was only used by people who didnt now much about coffee or coffee machines, and eventually it broke down. It went off for repair somewhere, and as-far as I know its still sitting there.

Déjà vu
Same issue for some home users and their auto machines...
On the other hand, my previous employer couldnt be convinced to get an espresso machine until they ended up acquiring the assets of another company, including a Rancilio L7. They had it properly serviced and plumbed in, purchased a commercial grinder, and brought in a local roaster to supply beans and lessons.
Anyone who knew how could make excellent espresso with that machine, and anyone who didnt could learn from one of us who did, or just put their order in when someone else was using it. Because it was used daily by coffee-lovers it was always kept clean and in good working order.
