5 years ago I went without coffee for 3 months after brain surgery.
Depends on how determined you are.

I could do it but really what would be the reason? I dont want to miss out on the lovely coffee I have daily!

Tried it for a couple of days back in my Melbourne Instunt office days (used to have a two plungers and 6+ instunts/day), headaches killed.

Solution never go without your coffee

petar, I must say why! Is it to torture yourself or a bet?

I went without Coffee for 3months when I was 20 after having a total collectomy.
Also 5 years ago after having more bowel surgery for 3 weeks. Headache wasnt a problem though, strong painkillers for abdo pain sorted that out.

WHY WHY WHY would you put your body through that. I can give up grog ive kicked smoking but coffee my poor wife would shoot me after just 2 days.

Re: caffeine free for a week, can you do it?

I can go without coffee anytime I like as long it is for no longer than 2 hours . I have given up alcohol and cigarettes and I dont gamble or womanise (the wife would kill me) so without coffee I would be extremely bored and lifeless.

So I will maintain my one and only habit. I will be a Coffeesnob forever.

Why would you do that to yourself? Think Id rather pull my own teeth out, give birth to a chair and spend a week in an IKEA store before giving up caffeine...

This one time (no, not at band camp), i tried it
                        I got uber sick
                        It was a horrific
Figured.... Id never try that again.

I could do it, and I will in April as I am going to the US and Canada. Actually I am going to Seattle the home of Starbucks, so wont be drinking coffee there ;D actually they have quite the cafe scene so maybe it wont be caffeine free after all

I usually have a coffee on the way to work and another at about 8pm, the rest of the time I drink tea, maybe 3 or 4 cups a day. On the weekends I might have three coffees but if I miss that first one I get headaches.

Im Ok if I wean myself off it but cold turkey hurts, for me its a chemical dependency rather than an addiction, which to me implies the habit side of it
