  • Good specialty coffee beans in the UK?

I have a mate who lives in the UK and hes got a nice new Isomac Tea and Rocky grinder like mine, but where can he get some really great specialty coffee beans over there? Its okay if they come by mail (mine do), but just finding a quality roastery is the thing...

Suggestions would be really appreciated. I dont want him having this great setup and buying supermarket beans. :P

Ditto Square Mile - theyre widely available from the increasing number of cafes that use their beans.

Monmouth Coffee Co is also a good supplier - they were the original specialty coffee company in the UK as I was told it.

I added a review of coffee in London to this thread - if your mate is in London it should give some idea of where to look for retail beans (as well as good cafes).

      Cheers
      Stu.

the other thing about living in the UK is access to some of the scandinavian roasters such as Tim Wendleboe (Norway) or the Coffee Collective (Denamrk). Should be relatively affordable by post.
