Ok .... so it might sound like a stupid question but as I dont have an espresso machine yet I would like to get a run down on what you need to do to make a coffee.
I have been doing my research and I have a better understanding now of the different types of machines, eg single boiler, HX, double boiler etc. What I havent been able to sort out is the practical coffee making process. I want to get an idea of the process to help in my decision making process.
1. So I have found out that the machine needs 25-30 minutes to warm up before a coffee can be made. This seems to be ok if you have a timer for the morning but how about weekends when people might drop around. Do you leave the machine on during the weekends or just make the guests wait?
2. After making your coffee what do you next? Do you put the freshly made coffee on the bench and then empty the basket, rinse etc or do you come back after finishing your coffee?
3. How long does it take to clean down, wash up etc after making the coffee?
I know they are stupid questions but I read so much about the quality of the machines and not too much on the processes involved after making the coffee.
Cheers
