Talking to a Mate who was a Kepai? - NG Aussie Policeman, 30 yrs ago and asked him If he had anything to do with Coffee there..
Tells me he Did, Couple of things he Told me, used to Roast in the Oven for about 30 minutes till Dark, He also recalled they used to de- Skin the Beans before Roasting ? -Not De husk but de-skin - what we know as the Chaff!
I,m not bothering him for a While as He gets a New Kidney next month and will be laid up for a While but will try to find out more from him..

Hi Tepin,

I think the word is "Kiap" from memory.... pronounced keeyup. Spent about 16 years up there myself . Wish your mate all the best, by the way....
