    Order the single floor set from Breville (pretend you have an 800ES). And away you go.

    Mine are still a bit wet after the shot, but I drain it on the drip tray while I do my milk and by the time I am finished its nice and solid and ready to knock out.

    Now I am more with it back on topic This thread below might help the OP. Also make sure your beans are fresh roasted and avoid supermarket ones.

    Welcome to the gang but lawyers jokes will follow unless you try barrista skills ;-)

    Lots of learning to do by the sounds of it but the machine will produce a decent cup if you add un pressurised basket. The wet puck is a likely result of using to finer grind in the "crema enancer" pressurised basket. These things are meant to work with a range of grinds to produce psuedo crema including preground stale beans. Do a search of the site will reveal plenty of help on the 4800

    Wet cake

    Just received a coffee machine ( Sunbeam EM4800C) for Xmas and am practicing my my barrister skills. Have noticed that at the end of brewing that I end up with a very wet cake and the creme is a bit short. Any opinions????? Also using a Sunbeam conical burr grinder (EM0450)
