You should have been there a few weeks ago.The local mayor was there patting Kees and Maria on the back and shaking their hands in front of a full media pack.Tv,newspaper plus a foreign crew, whats going on? And Paul Jackson next to the espresso machine having a chat to Maria in between filming. So much for my quiet little coffee rendezvous on Mt Tamborine. ;D
i was up in gold coast several weeks ago and visited the coffee plantation in mount tamborine. i met kees (the owner) there and he took me for a backstage tour - was amazing!
at first when i asked the lady at the cafe if i could take a peek, she said that they didnt hold tours. but she later told me that they dont mind taking people around backstage but only if you are a real coffee snob and not just any tourist. gotta admit i looked a full tourist with my straw hat and dslr camera ;D
anyways for those who havent been there before i highly recommend you pay a visit the next time youre in and around gold coast. go check it out and have a chat to kees. hes a really top bloke!
ive written about my visit at hoacie.blogspot.com for those interested.
