My steam knob on my Giotto is squeaking. Is there a particular kind of grease I need to buy and any recommendations where I might get it?

    Thanks, in advance...

      I use INOX MX6.
      http://www.dibartoli.com.au/product/Food_Grade_Machinery_Premium_Grease

      Food grade and doesnt melt.
Some Repco stores also stock it.

      Cheers

        Re: Grease

Depends on the actual location of the squeak - if the thread in the tap is exposed to the steam when the tap is open, use Inox. If its external to the tap (where the knob screws in/out on the body of the tap and pushes or pulls a plunger) or has a seal or O-ring between the shaft thread and the internals of the tap, use a copper anti-seize compound. The anti-seize keeps the threads lubed much longer than the Inox does, but isnt food-grade so has to be kept away from the steam passages in the tap.
