  • Coffee Machine Drawers

Im looking to buy a stainless steal metal drawer to go under my coffee machine, I dont really want a knock bin drawer because I like the ones that sit on the bench top (easy access) I want the drawer more for storing my thermo and other bits and bobs!!!

Does anyone know anywhere in Adelaide (or even all of Aus) that sell them at a resonable price? or maybe I should get one made?? I dont mind second hand either

    Re: Coffee Machine Drawers

Hi Suga. Most drawers have a knock-out drawer but you should be able to simply remove the knock-out bar and use it as a regular drawer without any issues.

You could try Coffee Craft in Glandore. They may not have them in stock but Im sure could order one in. Otherwise try sending an email to the sponsors on the left, either individually or all at once using the SiteSponsors@coffeesnobs.com.au address.

What coffee machine do you have? Do you want the grinder to site on top of the drawers too? Youre probably looking at around $200 for a new one. They come up every so often on evil bay too. I doubt you could get one made for that price.

Oh, didnt know about that site sponsers email - thats a good idea

Ive checked ebay, not much on there. thanks for the info

I have a friend who does metal work, ill see if he can beat $200 - if not then ill purchase one.

oh to answer your questions, I have the EM6910 and the Burr Grinder. I would like to have my grinder on top too... but my grinder is very messy tho so maybe I should keep it on the bench top?

the 6900 and burr is a good combo, had mine for around 2.5 years now and going strong. If you do find one of those drawers please let me know as I am needing a sink drawer bought/made up for my cart

I used to think the same, but then I discovered the problem was me, not the machine.

Biggest tip - relax! if your stressed, it shows in your milk.

I have found with the 6910 (and only the 6910 so far) that you need to hold the pitcher at about 20 degree angle and shoot the steam into the side of the pitcher to get a nice whirlpool started, then you can level the pitcher up and keep it sitting in the spout just below water level. Oddly, i dont need to do this with the Faema on my cart or the Wega at my other job - i just dont think the Sunbeam has as much grunt as commercial machines.
