Re: McDonalds Customers Brew Up a Stink...
Im not sure why, but I am finding this topic rather irritating....
I see McDonalds for what it is... A hamburger place that caters to kids... They needed to throw in some coffee to keep the mums happy whilst their kids tore it up in the playground....
Kudos to McDonalds for recognising they need shape up...
IMO whilst I would not anticipate any professional Barista raising their hand to actually work there, I see McDonalds as a great stepping stone for anyone wanting to gain employment.. Have a look at the age bracket of its employees... A rough guess 15 - 20 year olds, who really have no care about anything other than what to spend their pay packet on... They are getting through school/uni and just trying to earn a wage... To me, that deserves a little credit..
Im bothered that McDonalds is so openly slammed (and trust me, Im not fan of McDonalds), why is it ok to openly do this to McDonalds, but yet only a few weeks ago someone on here dare say an ill word about a coffee company was shot down in flames for bagging out a company on an open forum..... Thats a little bit hypocritical dont you think??
My opinion is, that this was a fantastic marketing ploy by McDonalds... And it got everyone talking about it.... Cant ask for better publicity than that really...
*steps off soap box* 8-)
