The only thing I didnt like about toddy was that it has paper filters..
In the home unit (1 pound of coffee.) the Toddy uses a reusable plastic filter, not paper. Their commercial sized unit (5 pounds of coffee.) uses a paper filter.

Yes Ive been all over the site and web past few days. I love that hario dripper Richard it looks good.. but I read up and the toddy makes a stronger brew.. and is cheaper. So I have decided .. I think... on a new bit of mesh for my plunger and a good grinder.. and a toddy one for me and one for a friend too.
The only thing I didnt like about toddy was that it has paper filters.. I dont like em for some reason.. I saw this too:
Espresso and cold filter coffee are very different animals, and if CF is what you want then it is very easy to make. A Google search will provide lots of info, and a search of this site (remember to set the time for longer than 1 week) will show you some home-made makers.
With good beans and a reasonable grinder youll soon be on your way.
I am new to the forum and found it looking for help to buy an espresso machine & grinder.
But what I really want as I drink my coffee black and sugarless is cold extraction coffee.. I have had this once a bottle imported from the US for me as a gift.
I am not rich enough to keep buying it like this. Investing in my own espresso gear a big big thing. I am wondering is there a machine for this cold extract.. As it has absolutly NO bitterness or acidity and packs a good wake up kick. Its website pics look like a mad chemists lab.
Ill put a limk here, I am sure most of you know this stuff anyway.. but yes any information on Australian more so Tasmanian production or a machine, before I just go for hot espresso would be really appreciated.
