Hi folks,
Apologies for the long post...
I had been happily using a 3M HF15-MS high flow filter for both kettle and coffee machine duties for about nine months. Water and coffee tasted great and no scale developed on kettle (glass type/no exposed element, so eay to keep a check on things)
About 6 weeks ago I replaced the 15-MS with a higher rated 3M P-124BN high flow filter, which carried on the good work of its predecessor. These filters fed water from under the sink to a bench top tap.
About 3 weeks ago, I got my plumber to set up the filter so that water came in through a one way tap, then a pressure reducer, to filter, then split ino one line going back to the original bench top tap, and one going into my (ready to be ) plumbed in machine. All lines were in new copper pipe.
Sinc then, water tastes metallic, kettle scums up (brownish ring where element would be under concealed bottom) and boiled water goes very cloudy and then full of sh!t (after a few re-boils) Water is clear before boiling, and unfiltered tap water does not turn to poo like the filtered water.
Its very disappointing, as I cant use my coffee machine until I sort the water problem out. Ive spoken with plumber and he cant explain it. I havent bothered to ring Bombora, as the filter was perfect before the plumbing change.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
