  • Training in Sydney

    Hi there,

I am sure there is aleady a post somewhere for this but I havent stumbled across it yet. So if there is please feel free to just direct me to it. I am interested in barista training in Sydney. I have searched on the web a little and have seen places but would prefer to go with people that are recommended. Ultimately I would like to get accredited as a barista in the long run but obviously first I need to do the basics and than practice more at home when I get some new equipment. So a place that does it all in stages would prbably be the best set up for me but someone with a good reputation would be ideal.

      Re: Training in Sydney

      Brett,

Di Bartoli has recently started a Home Barista Training in our Bondi Junction Centre. Not sure if a beginner’s level is what youre after, but our trainer, Hazel De Los Reyes can certainly customize the level of training to match a more advanced level, that is easily achieved in a small group of maximum 8 people.

You can check out our training page: http://www.dibartoli.com.au/4.html for more info. The first workshop runs on September 9th. As soon as finalized, we will put up also the details and dates of our Advanced Home Barista Training and Coffee Appreciation Training, both coming up in October.

              Re: Training in Sydney

              Hi Guys,

After our Basic Home Barista Training on Sep 9th, we are looking at another workshop in Hazels factory, that would cover a session of coffee appreciation and provide an orientation to Coffee Roasting. That may happen on September 30. The advanced Home Barista course may need to be postponed to November (18?), due to few industry events like the Cafe Biz end of Oct, etc.

Still in discussion with Hazel, check out our training page at:  http://www.dibartoli.com.au/4.html for updates.

              Cheers,
              Ofra
