Americanos Taste Not As Strong As Coffee

I use 15 grams and 5 oz of water and my Americanos do not taste as strong as regular coffee. Why is this?

Using Compak K3 touch with Silvia and pulling ~32 second 1 1/2 oz shots.

Because youre diluting it?

Because theres more water in the drink?

With respect, nobody can even attempt to answer this question unless you are clear by what you mean by a regular cup of coffee. Do you mean a cup of Americano purchased from your local cafe? Are you using fresh beans, and are they roasted as darlky as the ones used in your reference coffee?  OK, so Ive just contradicted myself and attempted to answer the question.....


Hang on, isnt 1/2 fluid oz, only 15mls?
