Is anybody really game to take on Ed??? Way too scary... I had to sell my sylvia and buy a giotto to protect myself 8)
Now, now....dont scare anyone off. Plenty of great home baristas out there. Im, perhaps, just a little more retentive when it comes to coffee prep on my machine.

Get out those 0.1g scales & millisecond timers...... ;D

I think a single dual purpose boiler or thermoblock machine comp would be fine as long as all the equipment used (+ their cost) was noted. Remember guys, Ed could cop time penalties with his millimetric precision

I’m game. I’ve had enough quality time now with my gang.
Rocky grinds, and Silvia pulls and stretches. ;D ;D ;D

There’s always something new to be leant when competing. Usually in the post mortem.

Obviously this would take a bit of organising.
During June and July, I expect to be travelling to most states and would be happy to be involved in some of the JUDGING.
I would also be interested in offering a prize [please do not ask what prize, Ill discuss it with Andy first]
            Best to keep it simple.
May be 2 classes any domestic machine:
            1: under $1000
            2: over $1000
Using a domestic grinder. I mean domestic:
            Your choice of bean:
            Regular milk:
Maybe do it at a central coffee geek type location.

            My 2 cents worth

Re: The Silvia National Domestic Barista Competiti

I was thinking of a Silvia/Rocky combo - no mods - loaned from someone for the "Comp". If everyone brings their own machines in there may not be enough shelf space?

But thatd be the fairest and simplest way to do it? What do all reacon?

Or if there is a place with enough space we can crank out the powerboards and have a free-for-all!!! Sweet.
