I visited Epic this morning and all I can say is WOW!!!
Coffee in Perth has hit a new level of excellence..
I had an espresso (SO) and then two caps whilst my wife had two lattes and a flat white (american latte)
The flavour was superb.... the milk texturing - you could not ask for better and the latte art on the flat white.... well you can see the skill of the WA latte art barista champion at work that is for sure!
My wife is sure it is the best american late she has ever had!! (She likes less foam on a latte than the standard 1.5 cm)
So well done Corey and Baristas....
This is truly a "must visit" for those in Perth or anyone who is visiting Perth and desires a great coffee experience!
PS... forgot to mention the level of passion that Corey and his staff have for coffee... You wouldnt find more anywhere.... infact you would be very hard pressed to find anyone else that passionate
I should have read Grendels review first. I think i might have to go for a drive up there when I get back to perth.
It should make a nice change, I have been in singapore and KL the last few days, and they are way behind. I ordered a latte with my breakfast this morning and i got probably 400ml of milk and a single shot.
Ive been in KL today. Our parent company has a big exec lounge at head office. its like an airport lounge, but perhaps a bit flasher. anyway, you are waited on, they take your coffee and food orders and go away and make them. I could hear the sound of a semi auto from another room so thought i would get something better than instant. they didnt understand doppio espresso... i got a weak americano. after that I amused everyone by going behind the bar and making my own. it was an entry level seaco auto which we have at another office (so i have played with them briefly before). they had the grind set fairly course and a small dose, so with a quick tweak i got something acceptable.
Hi
I visited Epic yesterday late morning, i was going to only have 2 (1 espresso, 1 double ristretto) but had to try a double shot piccolo latte while other half had juice. All were beyond good. Left to go get lunch and go do some work but had to go back for a takeaway double shot flat white. 3 hours later work done drove back to west perth for more. 1 more double espresso for me and long black for better half. while waiting for her to finnish i had a short mac at coreys recomendation.
If i didnt live 150 km from perth i would be there twice a day. It is by far the best coffee in perth. i will be there every monday without fail.
Well dell Corey and all the staff.

ps the coffee was made by a different person each time but the quality was the same. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
A colleague of mine just came back from her first Epic coffee - She want to tick all the excellent boxes on the assessment sheet and reckons shes never had a better coffee - sounds like the quality is holding up there.
