and the latest addition (not necessarily for the gallery, just for fun): the ultra-heavy, ultra-roomy, ultra-comfortable, ultra-ergonomic, and ultra-sexy La Marzocco portafilter!

yeah, its a bit dirty in this pic ... it had a bath right after the photo. nice and clean, ready for some yemen mocha ismaili tomorrow morning!

Here they are... did I get in first??
This pic was taken on their first day at their new house (think I was fully clothed).

                        Cheers,

                          there it is.......
i have the same set up as LongMatt except for the Knockbox (my bin is right there and perfectly suited for knocking, saves double handling)
and of course my drip tray isnt that dirty.. :P

Im a little saddened at the lack of ridiculous looking, American designed but Italian built machines here. As a result, I clearly have to show off my baby. Although I sometimes wonder about brew temp and pump pressure, it looks cool, and dual boiler machines always appeal to me.

Its as heavy as an elephant as well, which means heat stability is pretty good.

                              Hi guys
allow me to indulge myself here. This week for me marks 20 years of home espresso nirvana. Here is a pic of my set up:
MDF & Gaggia Classic which Ive used for the last 9 years, and its predecessor beside it, which I pulled out of storage for this special occasion photo. The dodgy looking portafilter in the Classic originally comes from the Baby - it fits better(!) - than the Classics.

I wonder how long before some aficionado architect comes up with the idea of a kitchen with a proprieary coffee-making bench area, close to the sink, double adaptors for machine and grinder, built-in board on which to bang the portafilter to settle the dose, wall-clock, handy stowage for tamper, baskets, brushes etc etc.

And from there...how long it becomes a routine feature in new house ads... kinda like "colour tv" signs outside motels back in the late 70s.

                                Or am I day-dreaming?
