Re: Latte glasses
if you want the ones like most cafes have then your looking for duralex. I got some today at a home wares store for 12 dollars a six pack and some matching machiato glasses for ten dollars. If you dont have any luck then try catering/hospitality gear suppliers. in melbourne there is "chefs hat" and "hotel agencies" probably others but they are the ones I know.

Re: Latte glasses
Try some of the Italian delicatessens, what I mean by that the Italian shops that supply coffee beans, pasta, coffee bits and pieces and other general Italian produce. They usually stock that sort of stuff at a decent price.

Re: Latte glasses
If you want the glass ones that are suggested above you can go to coffeeparts who are a site sponsor and they sell those ones and a few other styles of cups.
I always browse depament stores and homewares shops when I go past them to see if they ever have any funky cups. Everynow and than I come past some that I like so snap them up when I can and some times at bargain prices.

Re: Latte glasses
Bart, Ive been thinking about this one and have finally come up with an answer that might be of some help to you!
Seeing as were talking about trying to find something "stylish" to show off a nicely made cafe latte, I should think that you could just about use any glass that you like the look of.
Personally, I like to pick a glass that I like to look at, is comfortable to hold, has a good rim to put your mouth on and will go in the dishwasher (by that I mean it fits in the machine properly). Of course, also consider that if you are using the glass for coffee, think about if you dont mind holding the hot glass or if you would like a handle that is cool to touch. If youre clever with serviettes youll be able to wrap one around a glass in such a fashion as to look great and protect fingers from getting burnt.
As I dont know what state you are living in, I cant be specific about where to go for glassware. Suffice to say just look at the homewares and kitchen stores as they will be your best bet for a range of different glass ware.

Re: Latte glasses
Sounds like good advice Scoota Gal and I have my eyes peeled, Im in Williamstown, Victoria by the way. Im sure Ill stumble across something that takes my fancy eventually, not big on serviettes though, a wise woman once told me that "if you need a serviette to hold it, its too hot". Makes sense to me, Ill just keep browsing, no great hurry, its all good fun. Youre doing a good job as a mod BTW.
Bart.
