Ill bring my Peppina and of course the PRESSO.

Im hoping there will be someone to help me tweak my Peppina, I have only had it a little while and require a bit of help.
Probably a good idea to descale it before doing anything else. Just go to your local supermarket, pick up some citric acid, dissolve something like 1 tablespoon in 1 litre of hot water (careful - this can sometimes spit if you do it that way) and let that sit in the kettle for a bit. You can run the heating element to keep the acid nice and warm. Probably best not to boil it. Once it has sat for a little while, use the lever to pump it through the group. Should get rid of most of the calcium buildup. Mine was more or less white inside, so I had to use quite a lot of acid to dissolve all of the scale.

Did your seal kit arrive? I havent taken mine apart yet ...

    Cheers,

    Luca

Should we have a Brisbane roasting day?   When and where could be thrashed out in another thread of course
An even better idea Belinda.Perhaps a quick discussion during pickup and then seek expressions of interest.

    Thanks,
    Ken.

    Hi Belinda,
I live at Ashgrove so Im hoping the Beanbay collection for Brisbane is at your place...Most convenient.

If its ok I can bring my Iroast2 along for all to play with.

    Cheers,
    Ken.
It will be here Ken. You can bring your Iroast if you like, but of course this begs the question ...........

If you are prepared to leave Hubby at home, Ill pick you up on the way through( Im about two and a bit hours south of the city)

That was either a proposition or you only have two seats!

... when we all started roasting 2.5kg of beans sounded like a mountain...

until [insert (hubby, wife, friends, relos, workmates) here] findout just how good coffee at home can be and before you know it you are looking for a method to roast more, store more and grind more. Alas, its a vicious circle of progress that we all enjoy being trapped in because the results are so good.

Dont worry about not buying every month, at the other pickup points we have a revolving list of CSrs and on average there are enough people to justify the service.

    Hi All,

Ill put my hand up for a Brisbane collection point. I can probaby manage to get to Everton Park. I live 10km south of the city, so half hour drive isnt so bad.... not too sure about a pickup down the Coast though.

Cant guarantee Ill be buying beans every month though... although, hubby is going through the beans like there is no tomorrow....

    You cant always trust them.

Put in the word "right" and you may not get the "correct" answer.
Slightly OT guys, probably should get back to the original topic ,

    Mal.

    Exactly Mal.

So is 4 enough to make this happen??

I gather all the others who are just looking would love to come if they could ;D
