Also had a bit of success at Sparkys in High St Toowong. Just a general appliance repair store but the guy seemed happy to have a little chat about coffee.

Maybe also try Koffee-tek in East Brisbane. They restore just about every machine every made and have a huge range of supplies and goodies. They are also a roasterie (Abrisca), so sell all the barista essentials. Best person to chat to is Wayne, who runs the place.

    Cheers,

    Mark.
    Thanks Mark......

YES This is what I need as I like to browse...I like to ask about different things and also I buy on impulse..I like to walk out with more than what I went for.... Gavin...
Well Gavin, you can either live in great cities like Brisbane or Perth - or live in the "Golden Triangle" - Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra" - Been there, done that, YUCK!

But our problem is that there isnt the demand for the type of coffee related goddies you are interested in.... Here in Perth we have a few places that sell the odd "quality" machine, a few good roasters, the odd coffee related bits in some shop or other where the owner knows little or nothing about them, and sometimes can get useful bits from catering suppliers.... There are even only a few good cafes!

When people think coffee gear in Perth - its the large retail shops they think of (and I assume its the same in Brissie..) so it would be hard to set up a retail business catering just for the likes of we CoffeeSnobs...... The market would be just too small. But at least you have Barazi.

In the Golden triangle there are far more potential customers, CoffeeSnobbery is better known and specialist coffee suppliers can make a buck..... and places like CoffeeParts (very specialist) can survive by supplying not only that region - but the whole of Australia - and even overseas - by mail.

So kick back and enjoy what we have going for us where we live - but coffee supplies aint one of them

Save up for an epic shopping trip to Sydney Just remember - "Shopping for coffee supplies damages the health (of your wallet)" ;D ;D

    I agree, Coffeeparts are great.

YES This is what I need as I like to browse...I like to ask about different things and also I buy on impulse..I like to walk out with more than what I went for....I have gotten some things from coffeeparts and yes there service was great the things arrived the next day and in great condition....It did take a while on the phone as the lady could not understand me that well and vise versa...No biggie as we sorted it out..All in all GREAT . But a local shop would be good for "I want it and I want it NOW" sort of people...Like me... ..... Even trying to buy a grinder has become a drama because over the phone if people are busy they just give you the flick..Which is what happened yesterday when I was trying to buy through one of Melbournes biggest and best shops (SURE)...If I could walk into a store I would know exactly what service I was getting in the first 5 mins..... I will try and find Berazi and give em a go...
Thanks for feedback from all..Regards Gavin...

    Yep,

CoffeeParts even deliver overnight to us Snobs in Perth...

You would be hard pressed to find anyone with Pedros knowledge and the range of spares they keep on stock (not to mention the really good prices ).
