One place that definitely has them is Rio Coffee in SA. They carry white, brown and ivory and price ranges from $63+gst per dozen for espresso size to $90+gst per dozen for 220mL cappuccino size. They come in boxes of 6.

I havent ordered any yet. Im waiting to see what I can find in Sydney.

Good luck finding them at a good price in Oz.

Ive found it in some NZ sites (close to Oz) so shipping might be cheaper.

          Check http://www.laffare.co.nz

They sell ACF cups and more (cheap I think). They also ship overseas.

I know that Veneziano can get them and Im sure that they must be available here somewhere.

Seems like its a really good opportunity for a CS bulk order....

Andy, you wanna set up CS Ceramic bay?? :-?

Curious, what is the deal with these cups? do they hold heat better or are they more a cosmetic thing?

ACF are entirely out of stock at ACF Australia and ACF NZ at the moment. They seem to have taken the coffee-drinking world by storm. Yes, that would be a storm in a cappuccino cup ;P

We have had an order for various colours and sizes in for a while and Im told that they should be in in a few weeks. I gather that practically every person at Veneziano is going to buy themselves a set, so we might well have to order more when theyre back in stock!

Curious, what is the deal with these cups? do they hold heat better or are they more a cosmetic thing?
Nothing too special; just that theyre very good quality. The tulip shaped espresso cup is pretty standard. The cappuccino cup is the big one that people are after. Its a 150mL (or is that 170mL?) tulip-shaped cup. The point is that it is a very good size for a single shot + milk, which tends to get lost in the aussie standard 210mL drink. For home use, its great because you dont have to choose between making your 210mL drinks too weak for guests or pulling doubles as bases and taking twice as long to serve everyone. Of course, I tend to pull a double into an ACF anyway!

If people are interested, I can post up on CS to let everyone know when theyre in.

                  Cheers,

                  Luca

AFC (Australian Fine China) have a 180ml tulip cup, they are marked as 210ml but if you measure them they are exactly 180ml.

                            ChinaBay?

I have been fishing around for the perfect CS cup sets after the interest in CS-logo gear. I had a look at the AFC (Australian Fine China) cups which although called Australian they are sourced from Australia, Italy, EU and of course China depending on which item you are talking about. Some of their square serving plates are made in Western Australia but it seemed that the bulk of it was from China which when you are talking about "china" doesnt seem too strange an origin.

I think we will need to expand the log poll into a ACF / AFC / Colour poll to see what people would want before we ordered a tonne of them though.

Very bizzare! Maybe they were counting the volume of the saucer too?

Nuova Point is a competitor to ACF. I have both brands and think one is as good as the other. Theyre often available on a certain bidding site, but the colour might be a bit of a turn off for some....
