  • Best coffee near Darling Harbour?

Ill be in Sydney for 2 nights in a couple of weeks time. Working and staying at the Four Points which is near Cockle Bay Wharf (on Sussex St, between Market St and King St) and wont have time to venture very far unfortunately.

Wheres somewhere I can go for a proper coffee. Ive always been disappointed by Sydney in the past, so Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Mecca is one of the best, from what Ive read in this forum, and probably the closest, at 67 King St .

Next one to try would be Elixr in the Strand Arcade (between George and Pitt Sts).

Sounds like youll be close to Mecca Espresso which I have heard is excellent but havent got around to trying myself. Its on King St, close to the corner of York St. Single Origin is a bit more of a hike, located in Reservoir St (in the south eastern part of the CBD, just off Elizabeth St), but I can personally recommend the coffee there...

I have been to Mecca and can recommend that. I have been to Single Origin and would say that Mecca is better. Mecca has been consistent everytime I have been there. I havent been to Elixir so cant comment on that one. The barista you wil most likely come across at Mecca is Reuben and he is excellent, and humble as well

Mecca is about halfway between Wynyard and Town Hall station.

Like everyone else has said, mecca. Easy as that

Campos, Tobys Estate, Cordial and Single Origin are all worth checking out if you have time - all within feasible cab distance.

Ive just got back from 48 very busy hours in Sydney, although I did managed to squeeze in about 7 coffees from Mecca. The guys there do fantastic coffee, and by the 3rd visit theyd remembered my order - although I kept ordering different things to try them out.

Great latte art - different art each time and different for 2 coffees ordered at the same time.

Got talking to the owners, he uses only Rio Coffee from (ironically) Adelaide.

                Definitely worth a visit.
