I was at Cosmorex in Canberra today and they have several boxes of espresso and latte size on the shelf.

    Cheers

The Hospitality Store in Sydney seemed to have a good supply to me...

::listens to the sound of falling chairs and car engines as CSrs race away from their computers to get the last of the Durlex glasses...:: ;D

    I know where they are.....
A little kitchenware shop here in Burnie, Tasmania is selling the original style duralex glasses,
Ive got 4 now and Rayzurhed also has 4 last I heard
Would have liked the ones with the 30/60ml markings, but was happy to get what I got.

    Hi Guys,

Ahhh! The hunt for Duralex glasses!

Were an Australian espresso wholesaler/barista school in Brooklyn NY and if you think its hard to find Provence in Oz, they simply dont exist in the States. I thought being across the ditch from France would make it easier but despite phone calls.faxes and emails....zip! Luckily we found a load of Picardies in upstate NY but Provence have to be flown in from the homeland. Crikey.

Wish us luck in bringing Australian/Melbourne coffee to this amazing city!

    Rowan

They can be purchased at hospitality supply stores. Otherwise were more than happy to sell them to you as we have good stock of these glasses!

Theyre made in the USA by Libbey.

You know it was only about 3 weeks ago I was thinking about a market for glasses that came with a nice decorative 30 and 60ml line in them as I had not seen any at all. I was going to post a question on the board about it to gauge response - and to see if they were already around. This has saved me.

David, can these glasses be purchased by the public or is it just a cafe thing?

hmm... Ill have to check that out next time Im there

One of the reasons Ive been backing-up my Duralex latte glasses is because they keep breaking on me!

Duratuff glasses look way better. I was introduced to them 1 year ago. We use them at work....not prone to shattering in your hand for no good reason like the Duralex.

Not only are they less prone to shattering (havent had one shatter on me yet!), they have an inbuilt 30 mL line! Perfect.

No doubt, many of you who have dropped in to First Pour for a latte have seen it.

Apparently this rumour is circulated from time to time by competing glass manufacturers.

"Chefs Hat" in South Melbourne have already run out.
    Metreo,

I just picked some up in there on Friday - they had a pretty wide range of sizes available too...(the Picardie pictured above, and the Provence (5.5oz), as well as some other stuff)

Here is a picture of some glasses I got with the Turkish stovetop I bought.
The one on the left is a PALAKS, made in Turkey.
    The other is Italian, VETRAVIR.

TG, very nice, but the top of your machine must get really hot, eh?
