I hear ya! I hear ya!

Ive emailed Di Bartoli re: dates for cupping...hey, maybe we can even nominate a popular green that folks can roast to a particular CS colour and then bring it to the class. Well cup that along with other samples that I can roast up for the day.

    Cheers

I think Emily is off to Japan for the WBC. Hazel is a great cupper.

In Melbourne, Luca, Jill Adams or Peter Wolff amongst others?
Yeah, but Em will come back. Shed be a good person to contact. Or Dean Morgan, maybe.

Theres this Chris Natoli guy in Melbourne ...

    Cheers,

    Luca

Wolffy is going to WBC too.

We could definitely get something going with Luca...altitudinal cuppings, origin specific cuppings...robusta cuppings? In fact, Peter Wolff and I have already talked about having this kind of thing once a week.

Toshi Ishiwata from St Ali is barista/roaster/cupper that comes to mind...he cups daily at 6.30am.

Doh, she probably is.. I figured I would throw her name in since Scott and Hazel were busy, forgot shed be likely going to.

It seems most people who would be good to do this course are involved in the WBC somehow, might be best to wait until they get back and theyre not so busy?

In the meantime, if any one of you may think of an alternative excellent cupper who is also a good trainer and may be keen on the idea, let me know, Ill make the contacts. Thanks, Ofra

I had the good fortune of being given an impromptu introduction to cupping from Hazel a few weeks ago.

A class in cupping from her would definitely be a worthwhile event.

    Hi There,

We did actually got the chance to chat to Hazel after her return from Antwerp. Hazel has been sporadically conducting "cupping" classes to her customers in her roastery, yet she still need to work out details with the partner if we to systemize, regulate and add it to Di Bartolis workshops schedule...

Since Hazel is teaching the basics as well, I couldnt think of anyone more apt for the roll, but were trying to work also around her business requirements, ...I promise I will endeavor at getting a definite answer anytime soon...

In the meantime, if any one of you may think of an alternative excellent cupper who is also a good trainer and may be keen on the idea, let me know, Ill make the contacts. Thanks, Ofra

    Re: Cupping courses..?

    Hi guys,

Back in September last year, we have tried to run with Hazel the "Coffee Appreciation and Introduction to Coffee Roasting" session in her roastery at Marickville, yet we  havent received much of enthusiasm as we witness today, thus it never took off…

Im happy to chat to Hazel about re-introducing our original plans for the course. As Hazel would be busy in the next 2 months, and Di Bartoli would have 2 other sessions happening (Basic Home Barista with Hazel 23rd of June and Latte Art beginning of July), we may find it challenging squeezing another event in...

Nevertheless, will let you all know how we go with that. Thanks for the interest and for giving us the opportunity to introduce another exciting session to our program.
