  • Lapsang Souchong

The last Darjeeling was and is fabulous.
What Id like to see, but Im afraid it will never come up again is the Lapsang souchong.
Mmmm that smoky aroma, that tarry taste.
    What do ya reckon Andy?

You are right rayzurhead, the Lapsang souchong was/is fantastic. Still got a tiny bit that I ration out.

Re: When will we see Tea again

We would need more than two votes to get it back.
(well three if you count my vote too!)

I can have access to it but @ circa $25/kg I dont need 23 kilos myself!

I split the thread and started a poll... if we have the numbers it might get added in the near future.

I only said No because I did not know what is was. I presume its a type of Tea.

                Well people.
I have a kilo that never got opened.
No-one in the family wanted to try it.
Happy to part with it as a "pay it forward" option.

What say half a kilo to the 2 people who wanted some?

PM me if you are interested.

                Brett.

                  Re: Lapsang Souchong

I like it but my wife the tea drinker hates it. Id probably buy some but 1kg might be a bit much.

                    Re: Lapsang Souchong

Andy- was that $25 per kilo or 25 kilos? It sounded like you couldnt use an extra 23 kilos hanging around going rotten.
Lapsang is a magnificent tea. I tried it first while on holiday somewhere in the bush and thought it reminded me of a bush billy tea. Now whenever I drink it I automatically relax ~ 8-) Like the taste and smell takes me away...
                    No- its not psychotropic.
I always had the Twinings one until Andy stashed a pile of it in my first Newbies pack.... all my Christmases had come at once.

                      Re: Lapsang Souchong

Its $25 per kilo and comes in a 25kg box.
                      So many 25s.

So Andy is saying is that if he has to shell out to buy 25kgs and can only sell 2, hell be stuck with 23kg (@ $25 p/kg).

But my offer of a free 500g for a couple of people still stands.
                      No-one wants it?

Hey fatboy, that would be excellent... I dont want to be greedy and there are 5 others whod like a kilo.
I might wait and see if someone else takes you up on the offer as Ive already had the pleasure of the first batch.

Fatboy, count me in. The offer is very generous, agree with rayzurhed though about the level of interest.

Dont know where they are all situated though so it will come down to logistics I think.

                              OK OK.

I have a few PMs and some definite interest here.

I did make an initial offer to 1 person of 500g before reading all responses and PMs.

As of right now, if the first taker is OK with it, Id be happy to give 250g each to 4 individuals who have expressed interest one way or the other.

Whatever the end amounts, I think well close the offer here, otherwise Ill be getting special T2 boxes and thinking I can get $x a pop for 100g like they do!
