Excellent, a little circle work in Bond Street to test it?

Look forward to having a chat over one or two of Simons coffees.

mmm, we saw some of those in New York ... they had a spa, a bed and a bar in the back... should still be plenty of space to put coffee and stuff??? :-?

A step. I know not nearly as exciting as a rocket launcher.

                    Re: CoffeeSnobs needs a van.

Ive driven a VW Transporter TDI on many occassions doing deliveries for work. Lots of grunt and plenty of space. Non-turbo in a VW Transporter and youll be struggling.

Also fits the no windows criteria...but it is a real pain when trying to turn or change lanes...massive blind spot. Good turning circle and can parallel park in the thing no problems.

Go the diesel then you can get stuck into making your own Biodiesel

Slightly off topic... but are you running a Landcruiser and a Peugeot on biodiesel?

                        Too cool Neil!

You might have just created a monster though.

I wonder what that would do to my factory warranty if I buy a new van?

                          Re: CoffeeSnobs needs a van.

I was I havent cooked up any for a while but still have some. The Pug has a leaky fuel pump on dino diesel but seals up when run on bio - guess I need to make some more BTW 40ish cpl makes it pretty good too. As for the warranty issues not sure but the Renault should certainly be fine as it is mandatory to have Bio in all the dino supplies as the ULSD was destroying pumps and injectors far too fast (sulphur = lubricity agent .5% bio returns ULSD to High sulphur levels of lubricity).

Also as you can now purchase it far more readily it would be hard to prove against you. A friend of mine has run his 307hdi on home brew since new with no issues.

                            Re: CoffeeSnobs needs a van.

As a side note over here in the states various agencies are now going after people who make their own bio-fuels to collect the taxes that are due on them. Theres multiple taxes that are due on fuels and it matters not if they are homemade or made by one of the big boys.

Free used oil is also getting hard to come by. Not too long ago restaurants were paying to have a company haul off their used oil. Then along came the home brewers who would take it for free. As demand picked up businesses were quick to take note and now theyre paying restaurants for their used oil.

Your mileage will of course vary and your reality may bear little resemblance to mine but beware the bumps in the road.

                              Andy, another quick suggestion...

Have you looked into the Iveco Daily light commercial vans? Bloke up the road uses one for his water courier business, & he raves about its grunt, durability, & reliability. Heres a link where you can download some specs:

Think theyre based in Dandenong down your way

                              Cheers,
                              Tony

In theory the taxes are also due here but Ive not heard of anyone trying to collect.
