We got ours in Lismore yesterday Dennis.

The postie was hoping to just leave a card.....so he could enjoy the aroma during the rest of his run.

    Thanks,
    Cameron

If they arent in the mail by tomorrow (so much for overnight express) call your post office as theyre likely to be holding them there!
Probably cant bear to part with them :

mine still havent arrived (I live in Brissie). Should I be worried, seeing that even the Perthians got theirs yesterday.
Or maybe our postie is a coffeesnob, too.
I have enough beans roasted for one more cup of coffee tomorrow morning, then Im running out (didnt roast in anticipation of delivery). Well, well see what tomorrow brings.

Enjoying my first double latte Shire Blend as I type and it is glorious!!!. The extraction was cut a little shorter than I would have liked (think I packed too hard) but nevertheless.. the taste in my cuppacoffee this morning is so much better than anything I have roasted myself. It just confirms to me again that not only are Dennis roasts done to perfection,... my roasts suck! Im retiring the popper back to the pantry to be used as a popcorn maker again.

One thing I was pleased to see with both this roast and the Yirg (all gone whaaaaaaaah!) is that the beans have tiny little specks of oil here and there. Its good to see this for myself, knowing that the roast was done well, because Ive been aiming for this amount of oil in my roasts, but was never sure if was really a good point to aim for.

    Well done Dennis..lovin your beans.

    Den,

Mine arrived today - one of the perils of living on the West coast it takes a day longer (as those who purchase our tampers know)...

Well the Yirg is the first cab off the rank....

Beans are beautifully evenly roasted.... with just a few specks of oil.... smell delightful and the espresso.... well it is fantastic!!!

It is certainly the best SO Yirg Ive tasted and Ive roasted quite a bit in both the Corretto and the HT..... great flavour smooth and even the subtle flavours are clear and clean...

Well done.... Keep roasting to this standard and you will do very well Im sure.....

And thanks again for your generous offer.

Have had to stop quite a few people from taste testing greens...would be interesting completing a claim for the dental damage under my public liability insurance. ;D

Hahaha ;D, dont tell me youve never stuck a green one in your mouth just to see what it was like :-X

Nice to see that the greens I sent are inspiring some people to get into home roasting, though maybe as a supplier of roasted beans, not the smartest way of promoting our products!

Im at our local shopping centre this week and have some greens on display near those that are roasted, figuring people may never have had the opportunity of seeing greens before. Beans arrived today after the long weekend. Will cup up tomorrow with the traditional cupping method. Dont think 100 grams will be enough for multiple traditional cuppings and espresso!

    Cheers.
Well, I guess if it gets a thumbs down then 100gm is probably too much. If its a thumbs up you can always get more. :

Either way, will appreciate the feedback, and thanks for peoples comments to date. If nothing else, AU Post dont seem to have managed to be able to break anything with this mail out! ;D

Got me a nice little package upon returning from work this arvo

Trinity was very interested in why some of the beans were green - so a short lesson in coffee cropping and process ensued, all eagerly taken in as only a true 5yo coffee snob can!!! oh how Allison is going to hate me when my daughter is able to drink the stuff if this is her interest when she is only alllowed to smell it ;D

Onto the beans - 2 singles of yirga and 1 of shire, way over my arvo quota, but I couldnt let it go.

Shire is quite mild, which I really liked, I am coming to the conclusion that my body does not like strong coffee, even though my pallette is craving it more and more. Every now and then I dig a real hit, but overall if it is smooth without the bite I am more than happy.

Cheers Dennis, and I hope to enter the world of roasting sometime soon thanks to the greens.
