  • Moving Banners --- not here thanks!

I really dont like moving banners and animated ads and while I cannot stop them (easily) on the rest of the internet, on this little corner of it I can.

Our site sponsors are not allowed to have moving ads, our members shouldnt use the "Move" tag to make stuff scroll around the screen or use animated avatars.

CoffeeSnobs has always been about quality, readable content and the site should be a "tacky moving text" free zone.

    8-)

    Please dont use animataion.

    Ta.

Fantastic policy and because of it I have whitelisted the site in my Adblock and will visit the site sponsors.

PS for those that also dont like a flicky/flashy web, download chrome and add "Adblock Pro" and "Flashblock" extensions.

Looks like a spot of spam to me?

Nah, an odd first post I agree but I think KiteStyle was just happy to see the policy of "dont get in my face".

In the 4 years since I posted this the rest of net has got far worse. Good to hear Chrome developers and others see it as a problem too.

ads with any form of animation are swiftly added to adblock for me, I dont like advertising at the best of times recently, but flashy moving stuff gets my goat

CS will always be on the adblock whitelist regardless of flashy ads or not, considering all the advertising is relevant to the subject at hand

Correct.  Ive been on too many forums to bother with the "Hi, its my first post, please treat me like a small fluffy dog" routine.  ;D
