I share Mals enthusiasm for the Ethiopia Sidamo Guji - its a flavour that really hits you, especially 3-7 days after roast which is when I like it best. Its great after that too, just less berry and more chocolate I think (but I could be wrong as my palate is still on L plates). So far my roast profile has matched Mals closely, except Ive been ending it promptly at first sign of SC ... but i can feel more experimenting coming on.

I cant say I have a favorite yet - I havent tried them all
But I found the Ethiopian Gambella and Guji exceptional at CS9/10. I also like Peru Grace Villa and Malawi Mzuzu. Sulawesi Rante Kapua Torojah however is probably my favorite until I try a better one (Mud Cake in a cup).

Havent really finished playing with this one yet Art, so used a profile Ive used before on a Djima a few years back as these beans appeared remarkably similar in appearance and size. Anyway, took things slowly towards Rolling First Crack (RFC) which occurred at just on 14:30 minutes, backed off the heat such that the first few snaps of Second Crack were noted at approx. 19:00 minutes. Left the heat on for a little while longer until the snaps became more regular then removed. Normally, I would leave the roast about 5-7 days to degas and develop properly so was very pleasantly surprised to discover that the flavours had developed so much after only 3 days rest. Just goes to show....
Dont think Ill change anything with the profile for the next batch I roast but I will leave them rest for a little longer and see what difference (if any) that this makes. Cuts through milk really well too if you like the odd Latte or Cappa.

Agree and I always buy these, but Ive just tried Sumatra Blue Lintong and Mexico Cofre de Perote and now have four favourites. :-?PNG Waghi AA and Peru Villa.. mmmm

Mmmm - mmmm....
After only three days rest (Its been raining up here and ran a bit short :-?) I cracked open a bag of the recent BeanBay "Ethiopia Sidamo Guji" I roasted on the weekend. It is an absolute ripper of a bean (for me anyway), with an initial shock of berry flavours, good acidity, lots of dark chocolate, good body, some Middle East spices and a superb lingering finish that just makes you want to get up and make another one.
This ones up there very close to some of my favourite Yemen roasts and highly recommended [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

other 10% must be part of the secret recipeBlend: 30 % Indian Moonsoon, 30% Ethiopian, 30% Peru. This has the best caramel/honeycomb taste.

Yemen Bani Ismail roasted to rolling second is unparalled for me. That would be my fav SO.
As for blends, Ive yet to try one as good as the Veneziano Estate.
If it was type of coffee drink, Id have to say a latte made from a double ristretto base.

My regular, and favourite therefore by default, is my PNG Kimel.
Its good all round.
All my family and work colleagues like it in both milk and as an espresso.
