    Interesting... But also no surprise as to adding salt to coffee.

    Not sure where I picked it up from, but a very small pinch does make an interesting change...   Not unlike in cooking...

    However it is easy to over do it and then it tastes crap..

    As to 85C coming to Aus...  We will just have to wait and see..

      IIRC Viviane mentioned it ages ago.

      When I was growing up it was common to add salt to apples occasionally.
      My wife thinks its strange.

      Just like my thinking an Asian friend of mine was strange for suggesting adding salt to watermelon.
      I tried it the other day...a not unpleasant change.

        We have watermelon with Haloumi cheese this cheese is salty
        It is part of the staple diet in Cyprus my wifes origin

          Try putting some freshly cut up chilli, on pieces of pineapple this is something i got from a Vietnamese friend.Dont go to heavy on the chilli and cut it up fine.

            My wifes heritage is the same.
            The first time I tried haloumi and watermelon was for breakfast in Cyprus.
            Seemed strange but its quite nice.

              fresh sliced chilli in soy sauce makes a great dipping sauce for guava or melon. delish! Oh, and of course procciutto on melon is awesome!

                It makes good sense. Lots of baristas signature drinks in competition have salt in them.
