From what Ive read, quite a large proportion of the coffee grown in PNG is from Blue Mountain seedstock. [ch65533]
I read somewhere that Blue Mountain and PNG came from the same seedstock not PNG from BM.

I tried looking for that reference recently but couldnt locate it again.
This is from Sweet Marias "Much of the seedstock on Papua New Guinea is planted from the Jamaican Blue Mountain var. typica arabica, and with the Arushi typica varietal from Tanzania. Some are more modern hybrids or the Indian "Kent" varietal"

From the write up it seems that they have Blue Mountain arabica plantations in PNG derived from Jamaica.

Havent tried Punch, but I have had other beans from Mt Elimbari, and they were pretty great.

    Hi there
yes i have tried some of their coffee, i also know a roaster who roasts some of their coffee (under contract). No idea on what blends, types etc. but the other coffee i have had directly from the roaster is great.

I guess if Punch use other roasters they would be very insistent on high quality and consistency.

Has anyone heard of or tried PUNCH coffee?

I saw it in a cafe in Perth but didnt have time to stop and try it, I noticed that their beans were $40 for 200 grams which seemed steep but if theyre worth it...
