There is a roaster on the corner of Action Rd and Pavers Cir in Malaga.
I cant remember the name of them to save my life. But it may be worth tracking down.

I personally dont know of any places in Fremantle.

Re: fresh roast beans in Fremantle?

I had a symposium/conference trip to Freo for four days until yesterday.
I asked few friend said there are "plenty" good coffee shop on "South Tce".
I tried Cappuccino at "wild poppy" which is most close to where I live at first day.
Its okay, but did not feel any aroma or flavor only body.
Maybe its a north Italian style?

I tried the latte "Merchant" at South Tce which is the second one I felt looks like a serious coffee shop.
Not mentioned the espresso is plain, they even burn the milk (I burn my tongue too), I really need to ask them to replace a drinkable temp latte for me (politely).

Moved to "Dome" next door to ask a long black to take away.
I just asked the about if they offer different bean to choose for my long black.
The waitress start to talk like I am a fool that they are serious about their coffee and never use flavour bean (?).
The reason I ask them about the single origin bean is just because they wrote "the world best coffee" on their shop, I did not try to be a picky customer.

Quite disappointed because since I start to roast my bean I really like to try other professionals work.
People talk like the coffee shops on the South Tce are the best I can have in Freo.
Of course, I should do more homework before I went there (few post on this forum) instead of randomly walking into a "good looking" coffee shop.

I dont think I am picky, am I?
I dont think to get a fresh roast bean or multioption bean for client will increase the cost of a shop a lot since they asked 4-6 dollars for a milk-base espresso.

From this forum or other link, I always feel there are a lot of good coffee shops around big chit not like small remote city I live - Townsville.

Happy to back home today and get myself a home-roast bean milkbase espresso.

The only one that comes to mind thats in your area is Rubra. Am sure there are others there that roasts coffee.

Site sponsor Espresso Italia can be contacted if you would like some beans sent to you. They are north of the river.

Have you considered roasting your own?
Plenty of help, advice and reading here.

                Good luck. Gary at G
