I smoked whiteox for years - i never knew it was `staple` for `certain` folk until a mate of mine informed me.
No wonder people looked at me funny when i rolled one, or asked a `how long did i do` at the pub if , i suppose the beard and dreadlocks `stereoyped` me as well. Being naive helped.
    My missus never minded.
Been 14yrs when i had my haircut off & last rolled one!!

In my world, instant is called Gaol Coffee (I used to work in detention centres and gaols - even then I took my own coffee and plunger, gaol coffee must have been part of the inmates sentences I reckon).

Headaches from caffeine withdrawal is no myth! If I dont have one first thing in the morning, I am OK for a couple of hours (if a little groggy) but after that time I will get a bad headache around my left temple. I only have three per day, but I must have them! Even instant coffee has been known to pass my lips when I am desperate.

If instant is on offer then i go for tea instead.
Thats also one of the reasons i get my Tea from beanbay cos i always know its top quality.

I dont worry about a caffeine hit and i never feel a caffeine hit anyway, personally i think its a bit of a myth although when i bought my machine i was a bit on the dizzy side as i spent the first few hours producing shots and trying them and after about 30 or so sips i could feel the affects but as for normal consumption of 2 - 3 doubles plus 3 double decaffs i dont notice any caffeine hit.

Tell me warden, why does this coffee taste like mud?

Prisoner, it was only ground yesterday.

I had one when my wife was in hospital after giving birth and it satisfied my need for some caffeine and got the taste of the horrible coffee from the cafe downstairs out of my mouth (it was that bad that I enjoyed the instant).
I bought a coffee from the hospital I work in the other day because I was too busy to skip across the road to the half decent cafe. I am not joking - I had to strain to not spray the whole first mouthful across the courtyard and other people sitting there...I dont think I could find coffee this stale and bad tasting if I tried...even instant would have been better - which I NEVER drink. Needless to say there was only one sip and then went and threw it in the bin.

Im so desensitized to caffeine that I only notice effects when I dont drink it. So when Im at my mums or dads places, I drink it.

Honestly, I dont think its thaaaaaaaaaaat bad. Ive never had a long black, so I dont know what to compare it to on the fancier side of things. Regardless, the consequences of not drinking it are far too dire to skip it.

Apart from that I am proud to say it has been 12 months since my last drink of that hot beverage ;D.
