  • In a glass of their own...

This is the thread that Id like to become the place to talk about all things cups/mugs/glasses for coffee...and especially the place to post about your collection of drinking vessels (as there are even bowls out there for drinking from!) So please, take a photo of your collection or your specific faves from your collection, give us a story about them and all of us collectors can ooh and ah! (or feel jealous envy because we dont have them)

So, Ill kick things off with a picture of the pride of my collection (which was recently reverently handed over to me whilst I was in Sydney!) and no, Ive not yet had coffee out of them...that is to come...

In case you dont know what these are, they are the Illy Crystal espresso cups. (and yes, I took this photo.)

I actually wore my glasses to day but no I couldnt see them before.
I normally dont have a problem viewing CS from work (home now and can see them).

Where did you get them from Scoota? Im liking what I see and it might be a counter salvo in my ongoing battle with the Other Half regarding buying new & shiny glassware/crockery for when we move into our own place. (she says it looks nice, I say theres nothing wrong with spending $50 at opshops for a first dinner set ;D)

Hmm...I think that they are a rare breed now. I have heard that there arent many in captivity at all!

I can tell you where I got them...but I dont think that they will be able to get more for you!

And you know that these are more than 50 bucks PER glass, dont you!?

They better make the espresso sing for you at that price.
